What’s up!
My name is Elijah (most people call me Eli) Heatley and I work as a creative designer and photographer mainly for athletics. I have a big space in my heart for learning about all things technology, engineering, & creativity. I was born and raised in Columbia, South Carolina where I was the youngest of 3 siblings.
I started my path of being a creative when I was a senior in high school where at the time I was pursuing a career in cyber security. The teacher of my coding class did all the design work for my high school and I thought it was cool, so I taught myself how to work photoshop. From this point, I realized I loved design and changed my career path.
I went to college at the University of South Carolina for three years chasing a degree in Visual Communications. Originally I started school at a branch campus in Sumter, South Carolina playing baseball. This was not for me so I transferred to UofSC. At South Carolina, I started working as an intern for Gamecock Football as a designer and I never looked back! This internship gave me the tools and knowledge to better myself in the creative media world and expand upon my skills. Creative thinking, teamwork, problem-solving, and time management were all things that pushed me to become who I am now.
After graduation, I was blessed to receive many opportunities to work as a full-time designer in college football, but I decided to take my talents to the great LSU, Geaux Tigers! LSU was the best decision for me to challenge myself and progress my future.
My overall goal in life is to open my own creative studio where I can do professional work for multiple companies & clients. I am open to doing any freelance work now so don’t hesitate to contact me!
